The challenge

Maintenance at the forward edge does not wait for connectivity, and the record cannot wait either. Technicians work from binders that may be a revision behind, and the maintenance history is reconciled days later, if the paperwork survives the trip back.

With Visor

Visor runs on the device at the edge. The current procedure is already resident, Visor Guide confirms each step from what the camera sees with no link available, and Visor Document builds the maintenance record locally as the task is performed. When connectivity returns the records synchronise and the platform history closes. Visor Assist answers from the technical documentation held on the device, so a maintainer is never blocked by the absence of a signal.
