AutoAlign has received the 2026 OCI Artificial Intelligence Award for Advanced Manufacturing, powered by AWS, one of five new awards the Ontario Centre of Innovation created with AWS Canada to recognise Ontario companies putting AI to work where it counts. The award was presented at OCI’s Critical Industrial Technologies event, hosted by McMaster University’s Manufacturing Research Institute.

The conversations happening inside Canadian manufacturing right now are the right ones: skills gaps, technology adoption, workforce continuity. Being part of this event put us right in the middle of them.

MMRI is a space where the full ecosystem shows up: students, workers upskilling, SMEs, startups, and large enterprises. That kind of connection does not happen by accident. The institute is an OCI Technology Development Support site under the Critical Industrial Technologies initiative, giving Ontario manufacturers access to its labs and advanced manufacturing expertise.

Our thanks to MMRI and the Ontario Centre of Innovation for the opportunity, to OCI and AWS for the award, and to Dr. Stephen Veldhuis for the continued support and collaboration. The work the award recognises, Visor on real production floors, is covered in depth on our industrial manufacturing page.
