Earlier this month, AutoAlign participated in the Team Canada Trade Mission to the Republic of Korea. Henry Long and Dan Adamson were part of a delegation spanning aerospace and defence, clean energy, ICT, and life sciences: more than 110 Canadian organisations in Seoul from March 30 to April 2, representing Canadian innovation internationally and building relationships we believe will matter for years to come. Korea is the first country the programme has revisited since it launched in 2023, which says something about how much both sides see in the relationship.
South Korea is one of Asia’s most advanced industrial economies. What struck us most is how familiar the challenges sound. Across MRO, defence sustainment, and advanced manufacturing, Korean operators are facing the same pressures reshaping industrial workforces everywhere:
- Experienced technicians are retiring faster than new ones can be trained.
- Institutional knowledge is retiring with them.
- Floor complexity is growing, not shrinking.
That pattern is exactly the gap Visor exists to close: capturing expertise while it is still on the floor and putting it in front of the next person who needs it. We came away with genuine conversations and relationships we are looking forward to building on.
